Some researchers believe that the descriptive method and the continuation of these motifs among artists and architects were transmitted orally generation by generation and they had no connection to the instructions in mathematical treatises. On the other hand, others believe that the geometrical constructions in art and architecture have been borrowed from the descriptive discussions in mathematical treatises. The study of the structure of the decorations cited by each group shows that these patterns have been illustrated based on two completely distinct structures. The purpose of this study was to examine these different structures and explore their relationship with mathematical treatises and their developments. In this regard, on the one hand, the study examined the patterns that have been imported to Islamic art from other civilizations and have become popular among the artists and architects, on the other hand, it studied a set of patterns in Islamic art that have been formed in a new structure related to mathematical treatises. It appears that the beginning point of the latter structure was historically and geographically where the first geometrical treatises on descriptive patterns were formed: the translation of mathematical treatises on compass geometry in third century AH. This study aimed to find the relationship between the formation and spread of treatises on compass geometry and different geometrical constructions in the architecture of Samarra, the capital of Islamic caliphate in the third century AH. This qualitative study was descriptive-analytical and the data were collected by library research. The results of the study showed that simultaneous with the attention given to compass geometry in mathematical treatises, the descriptive method and the resulting patterns were used as a new model of descriptive patterns along with the decorations based on the older structure. The flourishing of this new geometrical structure and the development of compass geometry in mathematical treatises led to a geometrical genre known as the Seljuk “Gereh” in the fourth and fifth centuries AH. }, keywords = {Abbasid art,compass geometry,geometrical decorations,geometrical treatises,Samarra architecture,Samarra stuccos}, title_fa = {واکاوی نسبت رساله‌های ریاضی و الگوهای هندسیِ تزئینات معماری سامرا در قرن سوم هجری}, abstract_fa = {از بحث برانگیزترین موضوعات هنر و معماری اسلامی، تأثیرپذیری نقش‌مایه‌ها و تزئینات هندسی به‌کار رفته در آن‌ها از روش‌های ترسیمی و مسائل مطرح شده در رساله‌های ریاضی است. به باور برخی از محققان نوعِ ترسیم و تداوم این نقش‌مایه‌ها در میان صنعت‌گران و معماران به شکل سینه به سینه بوده و ارتباطی با دستورالعمل‌هایِ موجود در رساله‌های ریاضی ندارد، در مقابل پاره‌ای دیگر بر این عقیده‌اند که هندسه‌نگاری‌های هنر و معماری وامدارِ مسائل ترسیمیِ رساله‌های ریاضی است. بررسی ساختار تزئینات مورد استناد هریک از این دو طیف مشخص می‌کند که این نقوش براساس دو ساختار کاملاً متفاوت ترسیم شده‌اند. هدف این پژوهش مطالعۀ این ساختارهای متفاوت و جستجوی ارتباط هریک از آن‌ها با رساله‌های ریاضی و تحولات آن‌هاست. بدین جهت پژوهش از یک سو به بررسی نقوشی پرداخته است که از دیگر تمدن‌ها به هنر اسلامی وارد شده و میان صنعت‌گران و معماران رواج یافته است، و از سوی دیگر مجموعه نقوشی در هنر اسلامی را مورد توجه قرار داده که در ساختاری جدید و مرتبط با رساله‌های ریاضی پدید آمده است. نقطۀ آغازین احتمالی ساختار نوع دوم که با رساله‌های ریاضی مرتبط به نظر می‌رسد تاریخ و جغرافیایی است که نخستین رساله‌های هندسی با موضوع ترسیم نقوش در آن شکل گرفته‌اند، زمانی در حدود قرن سوم هجری و ترجمۀ رساله‌های ریاضی با محتوای هندسۀ پرگاری. مسألۀ پژوهش جستجوی رابطۀ میان شکل‌گیری و گسترش رساله‌هایی با موضوع دانش هندسۀ پرگاری و انواع تزئینات هندسی در معماریِ سامرا، پایتخت خلافت اسلامی در قرن سوم هجری است. این پژوهش دارای محتوایی کیفی و بر پایۀ روش‌شناسی توصیفی تحلیلی و گردآوری اطلاعات از نوع کتابخانه‌ای است. نتایج پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که هم‌زمان با توجه به هندسۀ پرگاری در رساله‌های ریاضی شیوۀ ترسیم و نقوش حاصل از آن‌ها در هنر و معماریِ قرن سوم هجری به عنوان اسلوبی جدید از ترسیم نقش مورد توجه قرار گرفت و در کنار تزئینات ترسیم شده بر پایۀ ساختار قدیمی‌تر به‌کار گرفته شد. روندی که به موازات گسترش مسائلِ هندسۀ پرگاری در رساله‌های ریاضی سرانجام سبک هندسی موسوم به «گره» سلجوقی را در قرون چهارم و پنجم هجری پدید آورد.}, keywords_fa = {تزئینات هندسی,رساله‌های هندسی,گچ‌بری‌های سامرا,معماری سامرا,هندسۀ پرگاری,هنر عباسی}, url = {https://jihs.ut.ac.ir/article_82899.html}, eprint = {https://jihs.ut.ac.ir/article_82899_4264da51414c892a2d9783555a560d60.pdf} }
