His work demonstrates methodological parallels with al-Nayrīzī’s commentary and Gerard of Cremona’s Latin translations, while uniquely engaging with Euclid’s fifth postulate. Attributed but lost works include Tafsīr Uqlīdis (Commentary on Euclid), Ḥisāb al-Dawr (Calculation of Cycles), Kitāb al-Waṣāyā (Book of Directives), and Kitāb al-Hindī (Indian Treatise). This study offers a critical analysis of Sharḥ Mushkil Ṣudūr, presents a critical edition and translation of Masāḥat al-Ḥalaq, and provides annotations on key theorems, underscoring al-Karābīsī’s contributions to the mathematical heritage of the Islamic Golden Age از احمدبن عمر کرابیسی ریاضی‌دان ممتاز سدۀ چهارم هجری دو رساله بر جای مانده است: شرح مشکل صدور مقالات کتاب اقلیدس و مساحت الحلق. رسالۀ اول شرحی بر مصادرات اصول اقلیدس (مقالات 1تا 11 به جز مقالات 8 و9) با هدف تسهیل یادگیری متعلم و با دیدگاهی کمابیش فیلسوفانه و مبتنی بر نظرات دانشمندان یونانی و اسلامی و رسالۀ دوم شامل تعاریف و قضایایی در بارۀ شکل‌های هندسی مطوّق و حلقه‌هاست. رسالۀ شرح مشکل صدور مقالات کتاب اقلیدس که تنها دو نسخه از آن باقی است از دیدگاه تاریخی اهمیت بسیاری دارد، چون سندی است که نشان می‌دهد کرابیسی به نسخۀ عربی اصول و برخی شرح‌های یونانی آن دسترسی داشته است و اثر او شباهت‌ها و تفاوت‌هایی با شرح اصول نیریزی و ترجمۀ لاتینی شرح اصول توسط ژرار کرمونایی دارد. از طرفی، او در این اثر خود به اصل موضوع یا مصادرۀ پنجم مقالۀ اول اصول پرداخته است. رساله‌های دیگری نیز در منابع به کرابیسی منسوب است: تفسیر اقلیدس، حساب الدور، کتاب الوصایا، کتاب الهندی که هیچ‌کدام اکنون موجود نیستند. رساله‌های او از ارزشمندترین آثار دورۀ اسلامی به شمار می‌آیند. در این نوشته در بارۀ رسالۀ شرح مشکل صدور مقالات کتاب اقلیدس توضیحاتی عرضه می‌شود و رسالۀ مساحت الحلق تصحیح و ترجمه می‌شود و توضیحات کوتاهی در بارۀ برخی قضایا عرضه می‌شود. https://jihs.ut.ac.ir/article_102597_1fbef901b970a4dc580d55b6628a85ea.pdf
