The treatise consists of an introduction and five chapters. In the introduction, the author presents a set of definitions divided into two groups: geometrical definitions and astronomical definitions. In the first chapter, eight methods for determining the meridian line are described. In the subsequent chapters, four general methods for determining the direction of the qibla are presented. In these methods, the author considers differences in the geographical longitude and latitude of locations as well as various observational and measurement conditions, and provides a specific practical procedure for each case. The article also discusses some of the author’s scholarly characteristics on the basis of internal evidence from the treatise. در این مقاله، رسالۀ <em>الحاتمیة</em>، در استخراج خط نصف‌النهار و تعیین سمت قبله، اثر ملامظفر گنابادی معرفی و بررسی شده است. این رساله مشتمل بر یک مقدمه و پنج باب است. در مقدمه، مؤلف مجموعه‌ای از تعاریف را در دو دستۀ تعاریف هندسی و تعاریف هیئتی ارائه می‌کند. در باب نخست هشت روش برای تعیین خط نصف‌النهار بیان شده است. در باب‌های بعدی نیز چهار شیوۀ کلی برای تعیین سمت قبله مطرح می‌شود. مؤلف در این روش‌ها با توجه به اختلاف طول و عرض جغرافیایی شهرها و نیز شرایط مختلف رصد و اندازه‌گیری، برای هر حالت دستور عملی مشخصی ارائه کرده است. در این مقاله همچنین، برخی ویژگی‌های علمی مؤلف بر اساس شواهد درون‌متنیِ رساله بررسی شده است. https://jihs.ut.ac.ir/article_106751_6681cc3715cce813fde12df05adfd0a1.pdf
