This paper explores the nature of the editorial work ??s? did, showing that it is not a simple rendering of the original text but that it involves major revisions and in fact original additions. For the first time, a collated version of ??s?’s revision on the treatise on the measurement of the circle (by Archimedes) is provided. A translation of the Arabic text is put side by side with a rendition of the treatise as it was circulated before ??s?’s time. An in-depth analysis of the text elucidates the nature of ??s?’s contributions to the text. This article also provides modest corrections to earlier studies by W. R. Knorr and P. Luckey. رساله‌های ریاضی که با عنوان «تحریر متوسطات» شناخته می‌شوند مجموعه‌ای از رساله‌های یونانی و عربی هستند که نصیرالدین طوسی آنها را تحریر کرده است. در این مقاله مؤلف به بررسی کار طوسی در این باره می‌پردازد و نشان می‌دهد که تحریرهای طوسی نه صرفاً کپی برداری از رسال? اصلی بلکه یک بازنویسی شامل افزوده‌هایی است. در اینجا برای نخستین بار متن رسال? تحریر تکسیر دایره طوسی تصحیح شده است. ترجم? عربی متن نیز با آنچه پیش از زمان طوسی در دست بوده مقایسه شده و با یک تحلیل دقیق، ماهیت کار طوسی مشخص شده است. این مقاله همچنین برخی اشتباهات مطالعات پیشین را که توسط کنور و لوکی انجام شده بود اصلاح می‌کند. https://jihs.ut.ac.ir/article_29087_c3686503b9ca483a706c434e4012faed.pdf
