There is a spell in Firdaws al-Hikmah, for easing childbirth in overdue pregnancy or difficult labour, which has been published with mistakes.
Introducing this book and its author, and pointing to its historical value, this article is to present the correct form of the aforementioned spell, and also discuss briefly the importance of the use of spells, charms, and invocations in curing diseases and relaxing the afflicted and encumbered people, as a stage in development of human sciences.
